<p>The smartest bathrooms in a Dublin restaurant are above a pub in Terenure.  Jerry Kochanski spent a fortune on this place, and although manager Nisheeth Tak has left, the Irishman still seems determined to make a go of it.  Vermilion is the only Indian restaurant in the city that feels contemporary, and when it's busy, the dining room has real energy and ambience.  Ignore the main courses, which have less spice than Val Joyce.  Order loads of starters, which are snappy and tasty.  Try eral sukka, jumbo prawns tossed in garlic and yoghurt.  Gorgeous naan bread too.  There is a decent kids' menu, as well as symbols for low-fat, plan and hot dishes to help you make a smart choice.  Good value wine list too.  Altogether, a pleasant experience with excellent service - despite the grim location.
